Check out the cooking classes we are doing for Communiversity with the University of Cincinnati. Click here to enroll in any of the classes listed below. A user account is required to enroll and purchase tickets. All classes are held at Findlay Kitchen, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, unless otherwise noted.

Upcoming Classes

Ravioli and Romance | Wednesday, February 14th | $99
Join The Jaded Fork as they invite Russo’s Ravioli to Findlay Kitchen for this special Valentine cooking class. Garrison Jennings of Russo’s Ravioli will demonstrate and assist with custom ravioli making. Each attendee will get to prepare their own appetizer, pasta entrée with sauces and enjoy a special Valentine’s dessert by The Jaded Fork. A complimentary champagne toast will start the night off and local beer and wine will be available for purchase throughout the class.

This class will include alcohol; all attendees must be 21 or older.

Meat and Knives: Basics of Butchering | Wednesday, February 28th | $55
Chef Lindsey of The Jaded Fork will provide an introduction to the basics of hands-on butchering techniques. Chicken fabrication, fish cleaning and meat carving will be practiced. Each attendee will get to cook several dishes utilizing their variety of fabricated meat cuts. A discussion on the uses of meat bones will provide insight into stock and broth making. Chef Lindsey will showcase a variety of knives, their purposes as well as some basic knife sharpening techniques.

Attendees will be provided a special bone broth making kit to take home!

Local craft beers will be available for purchase.

Beginner’s Guide to Cooking with Herbs, Spices, & Seasoning | Friday, March 16th | $49
Let us help you master the art of seasoning! Chef Lindsey of The Jaded Fork will provide a guided tasting through dozens of spices, seasonings, and herbs. Chef Lindsey will demonstrate through a variety of cooking techniques and applications why food always taste just a little bit better with some seasoning. Attendees will prepare a combination of appetizer and entrée dishes to identify the what, when and whys of proper seasoning.  Each attendee will get to customize their very own bbq seasoning blend to take home.

Local craft beers and wine will be available for purchase.

Mindful Meal Prep | Wednesday, March 28th | $99
Join The Jaded Fork for this fun, creative, and flavorful, 6 ingredients or less meal prep cooking class. Chef Lindsey cook will show you how to plan, shop, prep and cook several days’ worth of meals, utilizing 6 ingredients or less in each dish.  A variety of cultural cuisines and styles of cooking will be showcased and attendees will get to customize each dish to their liking. Attendees will get to choose a dish to eat during class and will get to bring the rest home to fill up the fridge!

Local craft beers and wine will be available for purchase.

Attendees must bring 6 Tupperware’s/Pyrex (recommended quart size or larger) and a bag or cooler to take food home in.

Tupperware will be available on site for purchase.

Cooking with Coffee | Saturday, April 14th | $85
Experience the exciting world of craft coffee with Cincinnati’s master roaster, Chuck Pfahler as he teams up with Chef Lindsey Cook of The Jaded Fork to offer a coffee-focused cooking class!

In this class, Chef Lindsey will guide you through a menu that infuses coffee into each dish. An appetizer, main dish, and dessert will be crafted through this hands-on cooking and coffee experience. Chuck will be pairing each dish with the perfect cup of coffee including unique espresso infused cocktails. Plus, you will get to make your own savory coffee rub to take home.

Mother’s Weekend Brunch | Saturday, May 12th | $45 (per 2 people)
Show appreciation for all those moms in your world and get them out of the kitchen this Mother’s Day weekend. Join The Jaded Fork for a Saturday morning brunch cooking class.  While rotating through hands-on culinary stations you’ll be exposed to unique brunch recipes and techniques to help you create a stress-free and fun brunch menu! Chef Lindsey will teach you how to prepare a variety of classic and creative egg dishes, simple sticky buns, how to cure and use smoked salmon, easy bacon and sausage cooking techniques along with gourmet french toast ideas. We will start the class with a “Jaded” version of the mimosa! Fresh brewed La Terza coffee will be served throughout the class and a variety of alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Root to Stem | Saturday, June 2nd | $55
Ever wonder what to do with the stems of cauliflower or broccoli? Do you discard your beet leaves, swiss chard stems, carrot tops or mushroom ends? Want to learn how to extend the shelf life of perishable items? Let the Jaded Fork team introduce you to cooking from The Root to Stem, to save product and money. In this cooking class, you will get the opportunity to create your own three-course meal using local meats, cheese and fresh produce, all while using the roots to the stems. We will make pickles, relishes, pesto and a creamy soup to accompany your meal. Jaded Fork root to stem appetizers will be provided and local beers and wine will be available for purchase throughout the class.
